CHAMBERS RAILROAD BRIDGE
Covered Bridges of Cottage Grove, Oregon
The Chambers
Railroad bridge is a half a mile from Main Street on South River Road -- just after
you cross Harrison Avenue. The Chambers Railroad Bridge is the only remaining covered railroad
bridge in Cottage Grove, and even Oregon. It was built in 1925 to bring logs
to the J.H. Chambers Mill in Cottage Grove. The bridge is 78 feet long and has recently been restored into a neat tourist stop and a great place for a photo opportunity.
It is one of the three Cottage Grove covered bridges located on River Rd.:
The Centennial Bridge on River Rd. & Main St.,
The Swinging Bridge on River Rd., just south of Main St.
The Chambers Bridge on River Rd., just south of River Rd., / Harrison St.

This is a picture of the original bridge before its restoration in 2011 / 2012.
