Cottage Grove Lake

Cottage Grove has two lakes (Cottage Grove & Dorena) that are within minutes of downtown. Both offer waterskiing, fishing, sailing, camping and picnic facilities.

HIKING & CYCLING

Row River Trail System -- Maps and info
BLM acquired a portion of an abandoned Oregon and Southern Eastern railway line in 1994. It was once used to haul ore, logs, supplies, and passengers between Disston and Cottage Grove. As part of a rails-to-trails project, about 15.6 miles of multiple-use trail was developed, including five miles that run alongside Dorena Lake. The paved trail is attractive not only to mountain bicyclists and horseback riders, but also to road bicyclists and even a few in-line skaters.

This is a beautiful bend in the Row River, just below the Dorena Dam.
